This package provides the underlying\nfunctions to estimate these generalized additive models with\nflexible response functions. The estimation is based on an\niterative algorithm. In the outer loop the response function is\nestimated, while in the inner loop the covariate effects are\ndetermined. For the response function a strictly monotone\nP-spline is used while the covariate effects are estimated\nbased on a modified Fisher-Scoring algorithm.
